Register now for the 2015 Portfolio Review!

As part of the Opening Weekend of the 6th Fotofestival Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg we present on 19 September 2015, with the Portfolio Review, a big feature of the Festival programme!

NEW REALITIES

The Portfolio Review for 2015 places the topic NEW REALITIES IN DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY at the focus. It is aimed at young, professional photographers and students in higher semesters. The Portfolio Review will take place at the C-HUB Creative Economy Centre in Mannheim's Jungbusch district. At the close the Reviewers will choose their personal favourites, which will be on show as a standalone exhibition throughout the Festival's duration at the Heidelberger FORUM für KUNST.

Reviewers

We are delighted that the following international photography experts have agreed to be our Reviewers. With Hendrik Spohler, Simone Demandt and Lukas Einsele we are glad to have gained three photographers participating in the 6th Fotofestival for the 2015 Portfolio Review. This offers the opportunity to receive practice-based feedback from established, artistically active photographers.

Lukas Einsele	Fine artist and photographer, lecturer on the Camera Arts course at the University of Lucerne
Alexandra Lechner	Photographer, co-founder of the Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie and member of the curator team at RAY Fotografieprojekte, Frankfurt
Frederic Lezmi	Photographer and book designer at The PhotoBookMuseum, Cologne
Dr. des. Esther Ruelfs	Director of the Photography and New Media Collection at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg
Thomas Schirmböck	Curator and managing director at ZEPHYR - Raum für Fotografie, Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen, Mannheim
Dr. Claude W. Sui	Director and curator of the Forum für Internationale Fotografie, Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen and, since 2010, teacher in photography history at the University of Mannheim
Prof. Henrik Spohler	Photographer and Professor on the Communication Design course at the Berlin University of Technology and Business
Damian Zimmermann	Photographer and freelance art critic focusing on photography, blogger and festival maker, Photoszene Köln

We offer participants

• Intensive consultations with renowned reviewers from the international photography scene. Consultations will last 30 minutes - considerably longer than they were at the Portfolio Review in 2013.
• A Festival pass worth €35 for all participants, which you can use to visit all exhibitions of the 6th Fotofestival 2015 throughout its duration.
• The possibility of being shown as a favourite with an image series on our homepage in our virtual gallery after the Portfolio Review
• The possibility of an exclusive exhibition at the Heidelberger FORUM für KUNST as part of the 6th Fotofestival Mannheim-Ludwigshafen-Heidelberg
